Spending a few hours at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on a rainy day can be somewhat therapeutic.
It would have been better if hundreds of kids hadn’t been there but I still enjoyed myself more than I thought I was going to. Don’t get me wrong, I think these creatures are beautiful, but after seing a few tanks in a few aquariums, it all starts to look the same wether you are in San Diego, Montreal or Boston.
The adult ticket costs $50 but thanks to the Monterey Jet center, we only paid $35. All you have to do is ask. Dare to, sometimes it’s really worth it!
My three favourite celebrities are the sea nettles/jelly fish, the turtles and the sea horses. There is something very appealing about the Sea Nettle: it looks so soft and gentil yet it is very poisonous. The turtles just look like they are such zen, relaxed animals. Sea horses are so gracious, delicate and elegant.
